Serbian PM:Jelasic managed the NBS very well

Cvetkovic said he was sorry because Jelasic had decided to resign, as he believes Jelasic managed the NBS very well, regardless of the fact that the NBS and the government had occasional disagreements.

Serbian PM Mirko Cvetkovic said Radovan Jelasic had informed him of his resignation to the position of the governor of the National Bank of Serbia and that he had agreed with him that he should stay at that position pending the election of a new governor.

Cvetkovic said he was sorry because Jelasic had decided to resign, as he believes Jelasic managed the NBS very well, regardless of the fact that the NBS and the government had occasional disagreements.

All those disagreements were resolved in constructive talks and the mutual relations were generally good, emphasized Cvetkovic.
