Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic will meet
with Austrian Minister of Economy Reinhold Mitterlehner on 25 March in Vienna.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy, Dinkic and Mitterlehner will discuss increased Austrian presence in the Serbian market and the possibilities of further investment, primarily in the car industry, food production, chemicals industry and the environment sector.

The two ministers will also sign a memorandum concerning ministerial level economic cooperation.

During his one day visit to Vienna, Dinkic will also meet with President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl, who visited Belgrade with a group of nearly 100 Austrian entrepreneurs in 2008.

He will also meet with representatives of the 50 leading Austrian companies, some of which are already present on the Serbian market, while others are exploring possibilities for investing in various sectors.

They will be made familiar with the economic and investment potential of Serbia, as well as with measures which the Serbian government is implementing in order to maintain economic stability.

Austria is the leading investor in the Serbian economy, with $2.63 billion invested, and it is ranked 6th among EU countries for the volume of foreign trade exchange with Serbia, the statement adds.
