Delta Maxi to invest EUR 15 mln in Montenegro

Delta has so far invested some EUR 170 million in Montenegro, where it employs 2,000 people, according to the report.

Serbian retailer Delta Maxi, part of Belgrade's retail-to-real estate conglomerate Delta Holding (owned by Serbian tycoon Miroslav Miskovic), plans to invest at least EUR15 million in Montenegro in 2010 said Mark Garofani, general manager of Delta Maxi International, the retailer's unit in charge of Montenegro Bosnia, Albania, and
Bulgaria, reports ANSAmed news agency.

Delta seeks to become a leading retailer in Montenegro, Garofani said, noting that the retailer expects to unveil high-end supermarkets in the Montenegrin coastal resorts of Kotor and Igalo soon.

Also, Delta is negotiating to open large outlets under the Tempo brand in Montenegro's capital, Podgorica, as well as in Niksic, he said.
