Serbian President Boris Tadic met with Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim in Belgrade on June 20, when they discussed the bilateral relations between Serbia and Brazil and improvement of economic cooperation, it was stated in the president's cabinet.

"In the name of Serbia, President Tadic expressed gratitude for Brazil's principled support to the preservation of our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity," it was stated.
Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic in turn expressed his gratitude for Brazil's principled support regarding
Kosovo, and underlined that nowadays, everything any country advocates has a better chances of succeeding if it has Brazil's support.
"This is the first time in history that a Brazilian minister has come for an official visit to Serbia, and it is a
great pleasure to host the first Brazilian minister in Belgrade," Jeremic said after meeting with Amorim.
On this occasion, Serbia and Brazil signed an agreement on visa lifting for diplomatic and official passports, an agreement on visa lifting for Brazilian citizens visiting Serbia and vice versa, as well as a memorandum of
understanding on political consultations.
Amorim said that they signed some important agreements, which will facilitate traveling to Brazil and which relate to the everyday lives of all citizens.
He also expressed the hope that these will incite Serbian citizens to visit Brazil for the Football World Cup 2014, and for the Olympics in 2016.
Amorim also met with Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic.
