Director of the Government Media Relations Office Milivoje Mihajlovic has said in Jagodina that Serbia is willing to talk with the Kosovo Albanians and the international community about securing a normal life for the people in Kosovo.

Director of the Government Media Relations Office Milivoje Mihajlovic has said in Jagodina that Serbia is willing to talk with the Kosovo Albanians and the international community about securing a normal life for the people in Kosovo.

"Serbia was willing from the moment Kosovo declared independence unilaterally, and it is now even more willing than before, because it has plenty of arguments and an agile diplomacy that prevented many recognitions of Kosovo's independence, regardless of the great pressure the USA and certain EU countries exerted on some countries," Mihajlovic told Palma Plus TV.

He expects both sides to receive recommendations to begin negotiating after the ICJ delivers its opinion on the legality of Kosovo's independence, with the UN deciding on the negotiations.

Mihajlovic added that Serbia is "a serious factor of stability and peace in the entire region."

Serbia wants UN SC Resolution 1244 to be respected; it wants to ensure a normal life for all people in Kosovo, without conflicts and tension, and it is willing to discuss any problem, said Mihajlovic.
