Businessman from Shtime, Fahredin Gashi, known also as Faruku, has been arrested by EULEX police under suspicion for crimes in the Lipjan region during 1999.

Apart from organized crime, Gashi is also suspected of the murder of Salih Gashi from the village Varigoc, municipality of Lipjan, during the night of 15 June 1999.

The name of Fahredin Gashi for the first time was made public at the end of November, when Nazim Bllaca from Ribar i Madh, municipality of Lipjan, publicly accused him and many others of organized crime.

Bllaca said that the first killing was done on 15 June in the municipality of Lipjan, the day Salih Gashi was killed.
