The EULEX police has searched the place of residence of a former KLA commander, as part of an investigation into the Blaca case. They would not reveal the name of that person nor the location in which they conducted the search.

Pristina media report that it was the house of Azem Sulja, a member of the presidency of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the headquarters of the KLA during the war that was searched.

A EULEX special representative was present in the field in order to enable supervision to ensure efficient collection of evidence, EULEX reports.

Nazim Blaca, arrested last year, said at the time that, as a member of the Kosovo Intelligence Service, he had taken part in several murders, attempts at murder and maltreatment of citizens.

On the basis of a decision of the EULEX judiciary, he is currently in home custody.
