Increase in June industrial output

The Serbian Statistics Office stated today that Serbia’s June industrial output in 2010 increased by 2.5% compared to June 2009, and by 3.8% when compared to the 2009 average.
The Serbian Statistics Office stated today that Serbia’s June industrial output in 2010 increased by 2.5% compared to June 2009, and by 3.8% when compared to the 2009 average.
The statement adds that in the period January–June 2010, when compared to the same period last year, industrial output increased by 4.6%.
By sectors, an increase was recorded in ore and stone mining (11.4%) and the processing industry (6.8%), while a fall was detected in the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water (17.1%).
Data on industrial production in June 2010, compared to June 2009, indicates that there was an increase in the production of intermediary products, energy excluded (23.3%) and durable consumer goods (16%), while there was a drop in the production of capital goods (6.1%), energy (8.9%) and non-durable consumer goods (1.9%).
Industrial production this June, compared to June 2009, indicates an increase in 15 divisions, which participate in the structure of industrial production of 42%, and a fall in 14 divisions, which participate in the structure of industrial production of 58 %.
