Albanian Ambassador in Belgrade Shpetim Chaushi has said that Albania and Serbia are now closely cooperating to develop relations and that this is producing a positive effect on relations in the entire region.

Albanian Ambassador in Belgrade Shpetim Chaushi has said that Albania and Serbia are now closely cooperating to develop relations and that this is producing a positive effect on relations in the entire region.

In an interview with the Aug. 2 edition of Danas, Chaushi said that Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha had invited Serbian President Boris Tadic to pay Albania an official visit.

He said that Albanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ilir Meta's visit to Belgrade was an historically important political indicator which would undoubtedly play a role in the latest development of relations between the two states.
