Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic stated today that the fact that the case of murdered and wounded children in Gorazdevac has not yet been resolved is worrying and indicates the actual state of affairs in the province and the attitude of the international presence and Kosovo interim institutions towards crimes committed against Serbs.
Bogdanovic told Tanjug news agency that he demanded that this and other cases of crimes committed against Serbs in the province be solved as soon as possible and perpetrators found and punished.
The Minister underlined that he requested that EULEX exerts pressure on representatives of Kosovo provisional institutions to find the person who shot at Serbian children in Gorazdevac seven years ago.
He noted that seven years after that incident the only fact known for certain is that the crime was motivated by ethnical differences, but the investigation has not made any progress.
How can we expect Kosovo Serbs to place their confidence in the international presence or yet, how can any other relevant international factor claim that the conditions in the province are improving, Bogdanovic asked.
He observed that EULEX’s statement that the investigation is drawing to an end, but no suspects have been found, is offensive to Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.
Yesterday in Gorazdevac near Pec residents of this small town marked the seventh anniversary of a terrorist attack in which two Serbian boys were killed while bathing in the Bistrica River and four were wounded.
