Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with President of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians Istvan Pastor in Subotica on Aug. 14, when he promised help to Hungarians in Serbia, mostly in the domain of education and information.

"Today (Aug. 14) I was introduced to a three-year plan of the Hungarian National Council, which has my support," said Orban, who is in a private visit to Subotica, and in Palic he is to attend a celebration of St. Istvan.
Orban told Vojvodina Hungarians that "the strong survive in unity, and the weak fail."
Istvan Pastor told the press that he had informed Orban of the plans which refer above all to education and information.
"Those plans are related to the improvement of the student living standard, the construction of halls of residence and introduction of student busses," Pastor said.
