Minister of Labor and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic stated for the "Press" Daily that the problems of Sandzak are not of ethnic or political nature, but economic.
Sandzak’s fundamental problem, according to Ljajic, includes divisions within the Muslim community. Reference to the autonomy of the region is a hoax that Mufti Muamer Zukorlic uses for purely marketing and political reasons, " said Ljajic, adding that the solution for Sandzak is to seek more investments from the state and create political stability to make investors arrive.
Minister of Labor and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic said that it would be great, that there is a theoretical possibility, but that it is not realistic to expect by September 8 to have a compromise-based text of the Serbian resolution on Kosovo that would be written in cooperation with Brussels or Washington.
In an interview for the "Press" Daily, Ljajic reiterated that the main priority for Serbia is to join the European Union, but that the process is longer than we all expected.
Ljajic believes that voting on Serbia’s resolution in the UN General Assembly will not affect the stability of the Government in any way, because, as he said, no one has presented an alternative policy on Kosovo that would be totally different from the one in effect.
