Dacic: Several smugglers of weapons, explosives arrested

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that in a joint action of the police of Serbia, Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, several persons smuggling explosives and weapons were arrested.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said  that in a joint action of the police of Serbia, Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, several persons smuggling explosives and weapons were arrested.

Dacic after the opening of a department of administrative affairs at the police station in Bajina Basta that five persons were arrested in Serbia and one in Bosnia-Herzegovina, addding that the action is still going on.

The arrested persons are Svetolik Djokic, Miodrag Matijevic, Nikola Vojinovic, Marko Vojinovic and Marko Djokic, said Dacic.

The First Deputy Prime Minister said that police seized 15 kilogrammes of plastic explosives, six grenades, two pistols and four mechanisms to activate the explosives.

As for the case of Hypo-Alpe-Adria Bank, Dacic said that the Austrian police is investigating the bank's operations especially in Croatia, and that Serbian police will check if there were any irregularities in the bank’s operations in Serbia.

The opening of the administrative department in Bajina Basta was also attended by Police Director Milorad Veljovic.
