Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency Nebojsa Radmanovic and Russian Ambassador to BiH Aleksander Bocan-Harchenko reiterated Monday that BiH and Russia do not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, Radmanovic's office said.
Radmanovic and Harchenko conferred in Banja Luka on the forthcoming general elections and the current political situation in BiH, and on bilateral relations.
As regards the recent vote on the Serbia-EU Resolution on the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the UN General Assembly, they reiterated that BiH and Russia do not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, the BiH Presidency said.
Radmanovic pointed to the increasingly frequent attacks on the Dayton Peace Accord from Sarajevo, and emphasized that Russia's stand is consequently very important for Republika Srpska (RS).
Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, one of the countries which guarantee the Dayton Peace Accord and a member of the Peace Implementation Council for BiH, Radmanovic said.
