Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic said today in Seoul that Korean company Yura will start building a new factory in Nis, which could employ more than 2,000 workers, although the contract obliges Yura to employ only 1,500 people.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic said today in Seoul that Korean company Yura will start building a new factory in Nis, which could employ more than 2,000 workers, although the contract obliges Yura to employ only 1,500 people.

The building of a new factory in Nis will start soon and will be finished by April next year, Dinkic confirmed after meeting with Yura President Ohm Dae Yeol in Seoul.

Dinkic affirmed that he spoke with the leadership of Yura Corporation about the possibility of this company opening another plant in Serbia through its subsidiary firm Yura Eltec.

In only six months, Yura employed 1,300 workers thus becoming the most efficient investor that has ever come to Serbia, highlighted the Minister.

The Minister stressed that the arrival of Yura was key for attracting other companies to invest in Serbia.

The aim of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development is to attract Korean companies in the industry of cars, automotive components, electronics and information technology.

Dinkic will also visit the headquarters of Samsung Electronics in Seoul today to meet with the leadership of the company.
