A ceremony marking 1 October, Day of Employees in the Oil and Gas Industry, will be held at 11.00 on 1 October, at the Office of the Provost of the University of Belgrade, Studenski Trg 1.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy and Mining, the government adopted the proposal that 1 October be observed as a day dedicated to workers in the oil and gas industry since on this day three major Serbian companies in this sector were founded, namely the oil industry Naftna Industrija Srbije, gas industry Srbijagas and Transnafta.

Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Skundric will speak at the ceremony organised by the relevant ministry and these three companies. Another speaker will be Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Konuzin.
