Decision by Serbian Government to increase award for information which would lead to locating and arrest of Ratko Mladic to EUR 10 millions is aimed to include professional bounty hunters in the search, ‘Blic’ learns.

The Government also offered EUR 1 million for information about Goran Hadzic.

The first award of EUR 1 million for Mladic was offered in October of 2007 as per decision of the Council for National Security and as per proposal by the Action Team for finalization of cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.

The award shall be paid from Serbian budget and information is to be given to the Home Ministry. The State Department offered award of USD 5 millions for information on Ratko Mladic.

Deputy to war crimes prosecutor Bruno Vekaric says for ‘Blic’ that decision by Serbian Government ‘shows clear political will that our first morale and international obligation is fulfilled’.

The BIA (Security Information Agency) is expecting increased number of phone calls at 9191, Chief of the Cabinet of BIA Director Jovo Stojic told ‘Tanjug’.
