“Deloitte” company for audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk management, and tax services, was elected on Wednesday for an advisor in forthcoming JAT Airways transformation by founding a new airways company to take over the role of national airway transporter in strategic partnership with some successful foreign company, Ministry of Infrastructure stated for Tanjug.

According to the contract, the value of around RSD 100 million with PDV, “Deloitte” will provide professional aid in realisation of the strategy for funding of new company for public air transportation.

The tender commission refused offers of companies “PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP” and “Bain and Company”, as irregular.

“Deloitte” from Belgrade will, the Ministry of Infrastructure stated, conduct the job with “Deloitte” from Madrid, Prague Budapest, “CNC Consulting” from Athens and “Partner-lawyer Association Jankovic, Popovic and Mitic” from Belgrade.

State Secretary for air transport at the Serbian Ministry of Infrastructure Miodrag Miljkovic previously stated for Tanjug that the chosen consultant with have a 12 months deadline to finish all the works, i.e. “to analyse the current state, determine capital value “JAT Airways” currently holds, prepare the documentation and call for tender, chose the strategic partner, start a new company, import the capital provided by the governmental and by the strategic partner.”
