Belgrade: Marking 35 years of the Faculty for Security Studies

In the Conference Hall of the Rectorate of Belgrade University a ceremony marking 35 years of the Faculty for Security Studies was held yesterday. On that occasion, the Ministry of Defence was awarded the medal for outstanding cooperation, which on behalf of the Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac was received bt State Secretary Zoran Jeftic.

The Dean of the Faculty for Security Studies noted the intensification of cooperation with the Military Academy, which has yielded positive results, which will enable the cadets of the Academy will be able to gain the Civilian diploma of the faculty at all levels of education and training.
Faculty of Security was able to combine their traditions with the demands of modern society, said the rector of Belgrade University, professor Branko Kovacevic, PhD Referring to the cooperation of the University of Belgrade and the Serbian Army, he recalled the year 1984 when Serbian students were first employed as experts in the reserve army.
Plaques for exceptional cooperation were awarded to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Security Information Agency, Belgrade University Rector's Office and the Military Academy. Special thanks were received by representatives of the diplomatic corps of Israel, Japan, Russia and the United States, many institutions and deserving students and professors of the faculty.
