Serbian government adopts several bills, decrees

The government has adopted a programme of measures to mitigate the negative effects of the global economic crisis in the Republic of Serbia in 2011. RSD 7 billion is set aside for the implementation of this programme.

The Serbian government discussed at today's session the Communiqué on the ongoing activities conducted in the process of Serbia’s approaching the EU.

The government has prepared answers to all questions from the Questionnaire of the European Commission, whose editing and translation is now underway.

Serbia should deliver the responses to the European Commission formally on 31 January.

The government has adopted a programme of measures to mitigate the negative effects of the global economic crisis in the Republic of Serbia in 2011. RSD 7 billion is set aside for the implementation of this programme.

Several decrees relating to incentives to the economy, employment and development of tourism were adopted.

The government adopted the Bill on confirmation of the Agreement between Serbia and Montenegro on amendments to the Treaty on extradition.

The treaty stipulates a more efficient cooperation and mutual legal assistance in the extradition of the accused and convicted, taking into account the high risk and the importance of combating organised crime, corruption and other serious crimes, and the need for effective mutual cooperation of the states in this area.

The government adopted the Decision on giving awards for the excellent contribution to national culture and culture of national minorities.

It was decided that 50 artists and culture specialists receive these awards in the form of lifelong monthly allowances worth RSD 50,000.
