Italian companies are very interested in doing business in Serbia, especially with regard to the Corridor 11 which should connect Italia's southern region of Puglia and its capital Bari, via Montenegro and Serbia, with Romania and several thousand Italian companies there.

Italian companies are very interested in doing business in Serbia, Vice President of the European Economic Chamber EEIG for Italy and President of the European Economic Chamber EEIG for Monaco Gordana Lupi Kaitovic said during her Friday meeting with Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic.

Italian companies are very interested in doing business in Serbia, especially with regard to the Corridor 11 which should connect Italia's southern region of Puglia and its capital Bari, via Montenegro and Serbia, with Romania and several thousand Italian companies there, Lupi said.

She pointed out that the interest of Italian businessmen in Serbia has increased significantly following Minister Mrkonjic's latest visit to Rome and the presentation of the future Corridor 11 to Italian businessmen, politicians and media, the Serbian Ministry of Infrastructure stated in a release. Italy gladly accepted to campaign for the international status of the future road, Lupi said.

The development of infrastructure is the best encouragement for foreign investors to organise their business in Serbia, Lupi said and added that corridors open the doors to new investment locations, which will help awaken business in Jagodina (central Serbia), Valjevo (western Serbia), Vrsac (eastern Serbia) and other Serbian cities, Mrkonjic concluded.
