Head of the Serbian negotiating team in the dialogue with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said today that there is no alternative to dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and that the objective of these talks is to close some of the raised issues by the end of the year.
Stefanovic announced at a panel discussion "Perspective of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina”, organised by the Centre for the new policy, that the third round of the negotiations, which began 8 March, will be held in mid-April in Brussels.
He underlined that the objective of negotiations is to enable communication and normal life in Kosovo-Metohija, adding that dialogue cannot solve all the problems, but that there is no alternative to this dialogue for now.
Stefanovic reiterated that the negotiations are conducted in line with the Constitution of Serbia and highlighted that Serbia will not recognise unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
