Next week, Serbia and Kuwait will finalize a defense cooperation deal, Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac announced on April 2. He added that the deal would enable the overhaul of 149 tanks, sold earlier to Kuwait.

The agreement, Sutanovac said, will be signed during a visit by President Boris Tadic to Kuwait.

"The quality of these tanks is still regarded as great," Sutanovac said, after being asked about the possibility of cooperation between the defense industries of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.

The aforementioned was one of the subjects of talks held in Serbia between Slovenian and Croatian prime ministers, Borut Pahor and Jadranka Kosor, and Serbian officials.

Sutanovac recalled that in the past two years Serbia had exported armaments worth $500,000.
