Deputy Prime Minister Verica Kalanovic presented agreements to Montegi and Trilord companies in Svrljig yesterday  regarding the allocation of non-repayable funds for the creation of 120 new jobs.

According to the programme of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, these two companies will receive €4,000 per each new employee.

Kalanovic said that Svrljig will be revived thanks to the programme of subsidies for investments, administered by the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), recalling that this is one of the most underdeveloped municipalities, with an unemployment rate of 24.8%.

The government and the Ministry of Economy continue to fight for each newly created job and for each investor. Only with such a policy will we enable people to work in their hometowns and sustain themselves, Kalanovic observed.

The company for processing sponges for padded furniture Trilord will invest funds in the construction of the second production facility, the furnishing of the production plant and purchase of new equipment and it will employ 60 new workers through this programme. The total value of the investment is €647,000.

The garment maker Montegi will build and equip a new manufacturing facility in Svrljig and employ 60 citizens of this municipality. The value of the investment is €635,000.

Kalanovic today visited the construction site of the hotel complex on Mount Stara Planina. The total value of the investment is approximately €3 billion and 40% of works have been completed so far.

The construction of the hotel’s complex, which covers an area of 26,000 square meters and has the capacity of 450 guests, began in August last year.

Together with the hotel, a ski centre and transport and utility infrastructure are being built.
