Serbian President Boris Tadic has stated that he is against any imposing of solutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), and assessed the speculations that certain politicians in BiH could be excluded from the political life due to the announced referendum in Republika Srpska (RS) as dangerous.

Serbian President Boris Tadic has stated that he is against any imposing of solutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), and assessed the speculations that certain politicians in BiH could be excluded from the political life due to the announced referendum in Republika Srpska (RS) as dangerous.

"The solution is not to impose decisions or exclude someone who gained votes at the elections from the political process. The ideas that the representatives of certain peoples and entities may be suspended are dangerous and Serbia opposes them. I am ready to discuss this issue with (Valentin) Inzko and all European politicians," Tadic told the journalists in Kragujevac Wednesday.

According to Tadic, the solution to the latest political crisis in BiH can be found only by compromise, and as he explained, the same goes for the RS, BiH Federation, international representatives and Croat politicians in BiH.

"The time of folklore patriotism and national politics that do not realize the consequences of certain political acts is over. It is precisely on the behalf of the national and regional politics that I oppose the division of BiH, but I am also fighting for the status of the Serb people in BiH," Tadic stressed.

He pointed out that, regardless of unpleasant associations caused by the very word referendum in BiH, the announced voting of the RS citizens on the BiH Court and Prosecution has nothing to do with the country's territorial integrity.

"The first and most important thing is the preservation of BiH's integrity, and this is not only a policy conditioned by Serbia's interests in Kosovo, but also a precondition for peace. The preservation of integrity of the neighboring countries is a precondition for peace and that is why I oppose any idea of BiH's division," Tadic underscored.
