The Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) and the Association of Professional Journalists of Kosovo (APJK) presented on Monday a joint project of exchange of journalists aimed at making journalists from both areas better acquainted with the people living in the respective areas and the conditions of their everyday life.

The idea is that the media in Belgrade and Pristina exchange their journalists, not just for them to get to know the editorial boards and the working conditions in them, but rather to open up the opportunity for writing about the daily life of people, Dragan Janjic, a NUNS representative, said at a joint presentation of the project in Pristina.

He said it was possible to implement this idea thanks to the opening of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. The exchange of journalists began this week, with reporters exchanged by Pristina's daily Koha Ditore and the Belgrade-based Blic and between Pristina's Zeri and Danas from Belgrade.

The exchange of journalists project will last seven days, with a total of 30 journalists, half from Belgrade and half from Pristina, planned to participate in the project. The project of exchange of journalists is funded by the U.S. Embassies in Belgrade and Pristina.
