Identity of Goran Nesic arrested in Brazil confirmed

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that of all those arrested in Brazil, the identity of Goran Nesic has been confirmed for the time being and that verification of identities of other detainees is being awaited.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that of all those arrested in Brazil, the identity of Goran Nesic has been confirmed for the time being and that verification of identities of other detainees is being awaited.

Dacic said that 34 suspects were arrested in the operation of the Brazilian police "Niva", of whom around 20 are from the Balkans and added that Nesic has been identified as the leader of a group that purchased cocaine for other criminal groups.

During the operation it was established that there were four groups led by Dusko Micunovic, Mileta Miljanic Mike, Ivan Pavlovic and Goran Nesic.

He said that the police in Nis arrested more than ten persons from Nis, Leskovac and Belgrade who evaded payment of state taxes by falsifying their documents and thus gained illegal profit of approximately €3 million.

Among those arrested are two field control inspectors of the Nis Tax Administration, he said and added that this group dealt with making fictitious documents and falsifying documents to avoid payment of all legal obligations to the state.
