Two months after the government reshuffle, opposition parties expressed criticism on Tuesday regarding the work carried out by the reshuffled cabinet of Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic while the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS), one of the parties in the ruling coalition, voiced a proposal that the government should inform the parliament about the benefits of the reshuffle.

“It would be good if the government notified the parliament about the benefits of the reshuffle in the material sense of the word and in terms of employment,” PUPS caucus whip Momo Colakovic told reporters.

He noted that government priorities as defined upon its constitution are still being implemented but when it comes to other measures, he believes that no significant changes have been made so far.

The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) believes that no progress has been made because, as LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic stated, the government reshuffle was a 'forced move to help stabilise the disrupted inter-party relations in the ruling coalition, which still have not improved significantly.'

Leader of the New Serbia (NS) Velimir Ilic believes that nothing has been done since the government reshuffle and that there is no difference between the previous and the current convocation of the government cabinet.

MPs of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) also agreed that nothing changed through the government reshuffle, and according to SRS deputy caucus whip Aleksandar Mrtinovic, the replacement of certain government officials did not bring any changes to the better in the government policy.

MPs of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) wanted to know the reasons why employment contracts with state secretaries and cabinet members of ministers who no longer hold office have not been terminated, and asked how many state secretaries are still working in the ministries.
