Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated Monday that his stand on separation into Serb and Albanian areas in Kosovo-Metohija is his personal idea that should be taken into consideration.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated Monday that his stand on separation into Serb and Albanian areas in Kosovo-Metohija is his personal idea that should be taken into consideration.

Dacic told journalists during a break in the conference dubbed Working for Democracy and Security. Serbia and the OSCE: 10 Years of Partnership that he does not insist that this proposal should be put on the agenda of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, but that he only wanted to express the opinion of the majority of citizens.

Dacic, who is the president of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), underlined that he never used the term division of Kosovo. Dacic explained that he was speaking about a possible compromise between Serbs and Albanians, and added that other solutions are unfortunately unrealistic.

Dacic noted that he is not changing the state policy on Kosovo and that he does not want to do that, and added that he supports Serbia's state policy and the Constitution.

“Basically, I believe that this idea of separation may be a compromise that the people of Serbia should vote on,” Dacic said.

Dacic reiterated that this idea has never before been discussed in the Serbian government, and recalled that he issued the same statement in the interview for the Pristina-based daily Zeri.

He stated that the idea of separation is rejected by all parties, including the European Union, U.S., Pristina and Belgrade, and added that he would like to hear possible solutions from all those who oppose his suggestion.

Mr. Dacic solution is already given and taken but you are not accepting that. Open your eyes and ears it is XXI century not Middle Ages.
Time is running you can not oppose that.
