Serbia would have the best chance in the U.S. market if it exported agricultural products, IT, furniture, cars and car parts, said U.S.-Serbia Business Council President John Saylor.

Serbia would have the best chance in the U.S. market if it exported agricultural products, IT, furniture, cars and car parts, said U.S.-Serbia Business Council President John Saylor.

In line with U.S. President Barack Obama's National Export Strategy, aimed at doubling American export over the next five years, which includes Serbia, there is room for reciprocal activity, that is, for Serbia to increase its export to the U.S., Saylor told Voice of America.

He said that the initiative will result in increasing attempts from American companies to find adequate, established Serbian partners, in order to get their products on the Serbian market.

Assessing that the U.S. market needs to be better informed about the products Serbia offers, Saylor said this can be achieved by exchanging visits of trade and political delegations, establishing branch offices and advertising. Serbia should be doing much more to advertise its new image and openness to business cooperation.
