After a successful winter season, Kopaonik recorded a 15 per cent increase in the number of overnight stays in the first four months of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010, and the total of 147.298 overnights placed Kopaonik at the top of the list of the most visited local destinations, MK Mountain Resort company released on Tuesday.

These results show that Kopaonik is steadily returning to the top of the list of most attractive destinations in Serbia.

MK Mountain Resort registered a 30 per cent increase in the number of overnight stays, and one of the main reasons for this comprises lower prices and a richer tourist offer for those who decide to spend their vacation in Kopaonik.

Wishing to meet modern tourist demands, hotel-owners introduced additional sports and recreational programmes for their guests during the summer season.

“Our recommendation for guests this summer is to take up activities in the nature, such as riding school, paragliding, off-road quad rides or biking down the Kopaonik slopes,” MK Mountain Resort Director General Nikola Avram said and added that the programmes available to children aged 10-14 comprise language summer camps for English and French, while the offer aimed at younger children includes school of tennis and basketball.
