In an interview to the Friday issue of the Pristina-based daily Koha Ditore, Krasnici said that Pristina's delegation should not have given up on the symbols of "the Republic of Kosovo", and it should not have accepted that the border with Serbia be referred to as "the administrative borderline".

Kosovo parliament speaker Jakup Krasnici has stated that Pristina's negotiating team should not have given up on the state symbols while reaching first agreements in the dialogue with Belgrade, and underlined that such an attitude gives rise to concern in Pristina.

In an interview to the Friday issue of the Pristina-based daily Koha Ditore, Krasnici said that Pristina's delegation should not have given up on the symbols of "the Republic of Kosovo", and it should not have accepted that the border with Serbia be referred to as "the administrative borderline".

He qualified as unacceptable settling for the copies of vital records, instead of the original ones, and voiced fear that the same thing could happen with the cadastral books.

Glauk Konjufca, a member of the Self-Determination movement, also said that the talks with Belgrade are degrading Kosovo's statehood, and that in the process of this dialogue the government in Pristina recognized Serbia's presence in Kosovo.

As the Pristina electronic media reported, Konjufca said that the talks with Serbia are aimed at degrading Kosovo's statehood, which since February 17, 2008, instead of pursuing a complete sovereignty, is going towards a reduced independency.

In the ongoing talks, the Kosovo government has placed itself in the position of fully assisting Serbia's plan for EU entry, and helping it preserve control over Kosovo through illegal parallel structures. The talks with Belgrade and the reached agreements undermine the sovereignty of our country.

These agreements are completely unilateral. Serbia will continue to refuse to recognize Kosovo's independence, while Kosovo through its government not only endorses Serbia as a state, but also gives it authority within Kosovo, Konjufca underlined.
