Serbia's public debt totaled EUR 13.29 billion or 40.6 percent of the GDP at the end of June, the Ministry of Finance announced.

The Law on the Budget System limits Serbia's public debt at 45 percent of the GDP.
Serbia's direct liabilities totaled EUR 11.58 billion, with an internal debt of EUR 5.64 billion and a foreign debt of EUR 5.94 billion.
Contingent liabilities totaled EUR 1.71 billion, the Ministry published on its website.
Serbia's public debt totaled EUR 13.23 billion at the end of May, EUR 52 million less than last month.
At the end of last year, Serbia's public debt reached EUR 12.16 billion or 42.7 percent of the GDP.
At the end of 2009, the public debt totaled EUR 9.85 billion or 34.1 percent of the GDP.
At the end of 2008, the public debt totaled EUR 8.78 billion or 26.9 percent of the GDP.
