Greek Ambassador to Serbia Dimostenis Stoidis announced on July 11 that his country wanted to continue to invest in Serbia.
Greek Ambassador to Serbia Dimostenis Stoidis announced on July 11 that his country wanted to continue to invest in Serbia.
"Greece wants economic cooperation between the two countries to continue, and to continue investing in Serbia, especially along Corridor 10, in which it has invested around EUR110 million so far," he said during a meeting with the head of Pirot municipality, Goran Stamenovic, as well as business people from this town.
While he stressed that the crisis was affecting business relations, Stoidis added that Greece, with EUR2 billion total investment in Serbia, had been the country's biggest foreign investor from 2002 to 2010.
The Greek delegation also included representatives of Greek banks operating in Serbia EFG and Vojvodjanska Banka who said Vojvodjanska Bank was preparing to open a branch office in Pirot.
