The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) called on the Serbian government Friday not to allow a rise in gas prices and to have the Interior Ministry investigate the operation of Srbijagas.
"The SNS asks the government not to allow a hike in gas prices and to impose a moratorium on higher prices of electric energy and gas, as well as dismiss all Srbijagas managers, starting with CEO Dusan Bajatovic," SNS official Zorana Mihajlovic said.
She told a news conference that the company's results point to inefficiency, losses and probably a bad case of systematic corruption. According to her, gas prices in Serbia could be 20 percent lower than now, despite Srbijagas' call for an increase.
