The road construction workers of the Backaput company of the Nibens Group have again blocked construction works at Corridor 10 near Feketic, the municipality of Srbobran, northern Serbia, on Tuesday, president of the company's union Djuro Trivunovic told Tanjug.

The workers will wait until enough of them gather and then set off towards border crossings in the north of the country, Trivunovic said, adding that at the moment there are 200 of them.

The Nibens road construction workers blocked the works at the north section of Corridor 10 for two times last month.

The road workers of the Vranje construction company have blocked a junction near Vranje, southern Serbia, at the highway toward Macedonia, representative of the company's union Dragan Dimitrijevic told Tanjug.

He said that although the police had stopped their machinery, the workers managed to block the highway, and added that now vehicles have to take a by-pass through the city.

The road construction workers of Beograd, Kragujevac and Nis companies of the Nibens Group are still gathering and they have not decided yet at which roads they are to stage protests, President of the Independent Union of Road Workers of Serbia Sonja Vukanovic stated.

The Independent Union of Road Workers of Serbia announced that it will block the construction of Corridor 10 on Tuesday, as well as border crossings and toll ramps, after their unions determined that their requests for the payoff of due incomes and funds for continuation of work have not been met.
