Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry of France Pierre Lellouche said Friday that France would support the wish of Serbia to join the EU.

He announced that the French Parliament would ratify the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between Serbia and the EU on November 24.

The ties between Serbia and France are excellent, Lellouche said after signing a statement of intent on the Belgrade subway project.

The excellent ties continued after Serbian President Boris Tadic visited France in April and signed the document on strategic cooperation, Lellouche said.
