The meeting was stopped at this point, since Kragovic did not give the floor to Borislav Stefanovic, the head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialogue with Pristina, saying he was obligated to deliver a written report to the committee prior to the meeting.
The Serbian parliament's Committee on Kosovo only worked for a short while Tuesday when it resumed Monday's meeting, and will probably meet again after a new round of talks between Belgrade and Pristina.
Committee Chairman Ljubomir Kragovic of the Serbian Radical Party stopped the meeting after a heated debate in which opposition MPs demanded the meeting be postponed, because Belgrade's negotiating team has not delivered a written report on the results of the dialogue.
Kragovic said the meeting will most likely resume next Monday, when government representatives are also expected to attend the debate on the results of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
On Monday, the meeting was delayed twice and was later stopped after Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic delivered a report on the situation in the north of the province, where a confrontation broke out in the village of Jagnjenica when KFOR used force to remove roadblocks.
The meeting was stopped at this point, since Kragovic did not give the floor to Borislav Stefanovic, the head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialogue with Pristina, saying he was obligated to deliver a written report to the committee prior to the meeting.
