Serbia was ranked first by the number of persons seeking asylum in Germany in November, with 904 asylum requests, the German Ministry of Interior released in a statement.

The number of Serbian asylum seekers is increasing - there were 286 requests in September, 620 in October and 904 in November. In all the three months, Serbia was ranked first by the number of requests for asylum in Germany. A total of 4,825 requests were filed in November. Afghanistan and Iraq are the second, with 624 and 507 requests respectively.
Kosovo, which is also included in the statistics of the ministry, that is of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, is ranked tenth. The citizens of Kosovo filed 133 asylum requests in November, the statement reads. From the beginning of the year till November, the citizens of Serbia submitted a total of 3,727 requests to the German author cities, and Serbia occupied the third position, after Afghanistan and Iraq.
When it comes to Kosovo, it occupies the ninth place, with the overall number of 1,265 requests for asylum.
