KFOR and EULEX convoy stopped in Zupce

A convoy of KFOR and EULEX vehicles traveling on the road from Kosovska Mitrovica to Ribarice was stopped by Serbs in the village of Zupce around 1 pm Friday.

A convoy of KFOR and EULEX vehicles traveling on the road from Kosovska Mitrovica to Ribarice was stopped by Serbs in the village of Zupce around 1 pm Friday.

The convoy of KFOR vehicles came from the direction of southern Kosovska Mitrovica, and in addition to KFOR jeeps and trucks, included two EULEX jeeps.

KFOR has intensified traffic control in Zupce.

All vehicles coming from the direction of Zvecan and southern Kosovska Mitrovica are inspected thoroughly by KFOR at the checkpoint in Jagnjenica and a second one set up Friday near Zupce, at the turn to the Albanian village of Cabra.

Local Serbs are currently talking with KFOR troops, and the Kosovska Mitrovica - Ribarice road is closed for traffic.
