Head of Pristina's negotiating team Edita Tahiri said that in her talks Friday with the EU mediator Robert Cooper via video link, she rejected Serbia's suggestions that he presented to her because both referred to the Resolution 1244.

Tahiri told Tanjug that agreement on regional representation of Kosovo is still far away, but added that Cooper would visit Kosovo next week to continue his efforts to find a solution. According to Tahiri, she presented to Cooper a proposal by Pristina that reflects reality, which is that the majority of countries in the region, as well as 22 EU countries, have recognized Kosovo.

As she pointed out, this time Cooper presented no proposals of his own. He presented his proposal in November, but it was refused by Serbia, Tahiri said. She also stated that the plan is for Cooper to come to Kosovo next week, when he would intensify his efforts for finding a solution to the issue of regional representation of Kosovo.

It remains to be seen what will happen. I think it is clear that our positions are widely different, she said If Serbia does not change its position and accept reality, it will not contribute to regional stability, she said. Regional cooperation is associated with regional stability, Tahiri said.
