The Serbian Statistical Office today stated that the industrial output in Serbia in April 2012 dropped by 2.2% against April 2011, or 6% against the 2011 average.

The statement adds that the industrial output in the period January–April 2012, compared with the same period in 2011, decreased by 4.7%.
Observed by sectors, in April 2012 compared to the same month of 2011, the sector of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply recorded a drop of 11.7%, the sector of mining and quarrying remained at the same level and the sector of manufacturing recorded a growth of 0.1%.
