Serbia's foreign debt reached USD 25 billion at the end of November
Serbia's foreign debt reached USD 25 billion at the end of November, which is 2.3 percent more than in 2000.
Private sector debt grew by almost 8 times in that period, from almost USD 2 billion in 2000, to around USD 15.9 billion, and it was 43 percent higher compared to the end of 2006. the principal reasons for enormous rise in the debt of the private sector can be found in the increased borrowing of banks and private-owned companies.
