Allianz insurance company has been negotiating with the Serbian government on taking over one of the insurance companies and entering the Serbian market - says a press release from the company.

It does not however state which Serbian insurance company is a target for Allianz, but the Serbian media speculate that it can only be Dunav osiguranje.

Namely, after the sale of DDOR Novi Sad to Fonditaria from Italy, Dunav osiguranje is the only one owned by the state.

Dunav osiguranje is a large insurance company, holding one third of Serbian insurance market.
