Union representatives say that the situation in Jumko is dramatic since workers are paid only RSD 6,000 to RSD 8,000 per month, and the company cannot operate normally because the account has been blocked because of the debts
Three unions of the textile company Jumko demands that the Serbian Government pays minimum pay and severance pays of EUR 300 per year of service to employees who will be leaving the company.
Union representatives say that the situation in Jumko is dramatic since workers are paid only RSD 6,000 to RSD 8,000 per month, and the company cannot operate normally because the account has been blocked because of the debts.
Jumko will be privatized at a tender, but the call for tenders has not been announced yet.
The state, the Equity Fund, Development Fund and Pension and Disability Insurance Fund hold a 62.36-percent stake in Jumko, and minority shareholders hold less than 0.1 percent each.
