Minister for the National Investment Plan Verica Kalanovic will talk on September 26 in Frankfurt with the German Development Bank (KfW) representatives about enlarging the project aimed at helping Serbia’s medium-sized municipalities in water supply and waste water management.

The Ministry for the National Investment Plan stated that this project, whose realisation has already started, is being conducted in two phases.

The first phase implies the realisation of priority technical steps, such as water gauge supply and replacement of old pipes, procurement of water pumps, well construction, as well as the implementation of institutional measures. In the second phase, the funds will be used for setting up pipelines and water springs in medium-sized towns which fulfil certain conditions.

The municipalities of Kraljevo, Loznica, Pancevo, Sabac, Smederevo, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica and Vrsac are included in the first phase of the project financed by Germany through KfW.
