Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) reveals that electricity debt in Kosovo since 1999 has reached EUR 360 million.

Kosovo Energy Corporation-KEC aims to apply new fares for electricity. The 2.5% jump on prices, proposed by the Energy Regulatory Office-ERO is expected to be approved by the board of this institution.

KEC initially required an increase of 11.5% however, this was denied by ERO and the alternative proposal of 2.5% increase was passed for evaluation.

Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) reveals that electricity debt in Kosovo since 1999 has reached EUR 360 million.

Electricity shortage in certain parts of Kosovo was caused by breakdowns in distribution network.

However, KEK refuses to intervene in breakdowns if electricity bills have not been paid.

KEK has no practice of completely shutting down electricity in particular areas and applies same principles for all consumers, regardless of their nationality.
