JAT Airways and MAT - Macedonian Airlines representatives signed Thursday in Belgrade an agreement on finding the best business solution involving a payment of the overall debt with interest rates that JAT demands from FYRMacedonia's national carrier.

The agreement was signed by JAT acting director Sasa Vlaisavljevic and president of the MAT Board of Directors, Zlatko Petrovski, MAT said in a press release.

It adds that interest was showed for establishing various cooperation from technical and commercial aspect as well as for possible reconstruction of MAT's ownership structure.

- By improving the companies' partnership, JAT Airways is once again confirming its goal to become a regional leader and willingness with its presence on the market to better the services for passengers from FYRMacedonia, says the press release.

The Macedonian market for several years attracts the interest of SEE companies, first and foremost due to the fact that the Skopje airport in 2008 served about 660.000 passengers.
