Swedish furniture producer Ikea gave up the planned construction of a factory in Serbia.

Swedish furniture producer Ikea gave up the planned construction of a factory in Serbia.

The initial plan was that Ikea commits to begin the construction by 2012, while Serbian government would support the company by providing a land.

In a direct deal, the government had agreed to grant Ikea the right to use 72 hectares of land near the Belgrade airport.
