Billion Euros for Bosnian Coast

The Bosnian city of Neum on the Adriatic coast has been set to become the largest construction site in South-Eastern Europe with an investment worth EUR 1bn.
Muhamed Svrakic, Bosnian branch manager of the Danish Company Christensen Group which specializes in building luxury resorts, announced the company's decision to launch the construction of a luxury seaside resort on the Klek peninsula. “Our project is one of the largest ongoing tourist projects in Europe in terms of the space it covers and the total value. The project will spread over 170 hectares and involve the construction of sports grounds, squares and other tourist sites which Neum lacks”, Svrakic said. The construction of the tourist centre should last 10-12 years. “Initial work is planned to begin this October, “Svrakic said. The project includes the restoration of the five- kilometre long beach and the building of five large hotels, twenty residential buildings, five bungalow settlements and 400 luxury mansions.
